Blogging that eschews instant gratification for contemplative rumination.

A NYT article on the (somewhat oxymoronic) blogging equivalent of the slow food movement quoted the “Slow Blog Manifesto” written in 2006 by Todd Sieling, who said,

Slow blogging is a rejection of immediacy. … It is an affirmation that not all things worth reading are written quickly.
